Part of my job as the teaching assistant for "Public Eye: The Surviellance Society" was to design and update the class website. Along with the Women's Center, this site was the first time I chucked hand-coding in favor of Dreamweaver. Ah, templates are seductive. I also set up a listserv.
In terms of design, I had to go with the panopticon theme. An eye watching 24/7. I tried to contrast old and new with the engraving of the eye and camcorder text.
Unfortunately, the site has been thrown to the wind since Julia Meltzer left Hampshire this year.
